What is the difference between A Suite and a Junior
Suite?
- The Suites are generally larger and contain a bedroom and can accommodate
up to 4 people. The Suites also contain a separate seating area but there
is no door dividing the two rooms and the pull out bed is for 1 person not
two.
What are the accessories included in the room rate?
- the drinks the mini-bar is included (not refilled, howvere). Wi-fi internet
connection (via your own lap top) is included for the entire stay, parking
and valet service, satellite tv and trouser press. Bathrobes and Slippers
are also provided. .
Is there a restaurant?
- No the Rivoli Hotel and Suites does not have it's own restaurant however
there is an American Snack Bar which serves a small but varied menu until
midnight. The restaurant will be opened in 2008.
Is breakfast included in the room rate?
- Yes a full buffet breakfast is included in the room rate and is served in
the old Franciscan cafeteria which is characterized by the arched columns
typical of Florentine late renaissance architecture. Cereals, Fresh Fruit,
Yoghurt, Croissants with assorted fillings, Fresh Bread, Hams plus hot bacon,
sausages and scrambled eggs… In the Summer time i.e. May to September breakfast
may be served in the garden, a super way to start your day's sightseeing in
Florence! .
. How far is the hotel to the centre of town and or train station?
- The city centre and all the major attractions are on your doorstep i.e Duomo
10 minutes walk, Ponte Vecchio 15 minutes walk, Santa Maria Novella, 2 minutes.
The train station is only 2 minutes walk away - NB Florence train station
has two exits so when you get off the train exit the station on the right
and walk down the steps. Turn left and walk down the road until you get to
via Alamanni, 10 metres later and you will arrive at via Della Scala - the
Rivoli Hotel and Suites is located 50 metres further down on the right hand
side. .
Is the hotel served by public transport?
- Yes buses pass regularly but you will not need them unless you are going
to visit attractions such the Etruscan settlement on the nearby hill of Fiesole.
The bus station is only 100m from the hotel from which you can travel to Lucca,
San Gimignano, Siena....... .
Is the credit card given for guarantee, secure with the hotel?
- Yes, the credit card system serves only as a guarantee for the reservation…
no money will be debited until you check out of the hotel. .
Cancellation Policy?
- you may cancel your reservation up to 72 hours before arrival without incurring
any penalty. Any cancellations or no shows received after such time then the
hotel will charge you 01 night late cancellation or no show directly to your
credit card. .

- Take exit Firenze Scandicci toward Firenze/Scandicci/S.G.C. Fi-Pi-Li Toll
road 0.5 km. Keep left at the fork to continue toward Strada Grande Comunicazione
Firenze-Pisa-Livorno and merge onto Strada Grande Comunicazione Firenze-Pisa-Livorno
2.8 km 3 mins. Continue on Viale Etruria (signs for Viali Circonvallazione/Siena)

Do the rooms have balconies or terraces?
- Only a few of the Suites have a terrace and their availability cannot be
guaranteed. Please feel free to make the "request" when making your online
reservation. Use the comment's box provided however, bear in mind that we
cannot guarantee the availability of the suites with terrace.
Is English spoken?
- Yes, English is spoken all accent's catered for. German, French and Spanish
is also spoken by the hotel Concierge. .
Are the rooms air conditioned?
- Yes, air conditioning is a must in July and August and each of the luxury
suites in Florence contains an independently controlled climate control system.
Do you have Internet point?
- Yes, there is a paid Internet Point in the hotel lobby. Cards are available
from reception. .
Do you have parking facilities?
- Yes, the Rivoli Hotel and Suites has its own private parking. When you need
your car we will make it available for you. Parking is free if you stay in
the Sute or Junior Suite.
What time is Check in and Check out?
- Check in is from 2pm on, check out is before 12am. .
Do you have access to international TV channels?
- Yes, satellite TV comes as standard including CNN and BBC World Service.
